All-rounder in the backcourt! Official: Barcelona renews contract with 18-year-old defender Landry Farley until 2028

Barcelona officially announced that it has extended the contract of 18-year-old defender Landry Farré for two years until 2028. Joan Soler, the club’s youth training director, and José Ramón Alexanco, the youth training football director, attended the contract renewal ceremony.

In 2015, Farley, who had just turned 8 years old, joined the Barcelona youth training camp. After becoming a member of Barcelona's youth academy, Farley performed well on the defensive end with his strong body and excellent ball control. Farley can play as either a central defender or a full-back on the field. He made his debut for the B team in the first round of the league against Royal United on August 25, 2024. Since then, he has regularly appeared in the B team's games, making 21 appearances in total, including 12 starts. This season, he was officially promoted to the Barcelona B team. In addition, Farley has also represented the Spanish national team in competitions at the U16, U17 and U18 levels.
