Nasser season summary: We won the Champions League and are extremely proud of the runner-up of the Club World Cup
Paris President Nasser published a season summary on the club's official website. Dear friends, as the most memorable season in our history comes to an end, I would like to extend my deepest thanks to the Paris Saint-Germain family. Looking back on this season, it’s easy to forget how hard it was. We have participated in many high-level competitions in many countries, faced extremely competitive opponents, and experienced extremely difficult schedules. However, it is precisely with our team spirit that fights for the club and each other every day that this season will be one of the best memories in Paris Saint-Germain’s history. We won the first Champions League championship and the team we sent was the second youngest in previous finals and the youngest in Paris Saint-Germain's history. Our competition style has won praise from commentators around the world. This glory combined with our victory in the Ligue 1, the French Cup and the French Super Cup, as well as the outstanding performances of 26 athletes from handball, judo, women's football, youth training centers, e-sports and the 2024 Paris Olympics, have made this season even more brilliant. This month in the United States, our goal is of course to be a world champion. Despite overcoming some of the world’s greatest clubs in unforgettable games, after such a long season, we can still be extremely proud of our players and coaching staff finishing second on the world stage. All of these achievements are the result of everyone’s joint efforts, including past chairmen, players, coaches, athletic directors and staff. Today, I would like to give special thanks to our football department, our staff, our partners, our outstanding coach Louis Enrique, and our fighters – our players who defend the club every day and fight for it in every game. I will never forget our fans: in Paris, in France and around the world, we have the best fans in the world. They always support the team, whether in every city, in every country, or in and out of the stadium. They never stopped singing, never lost confidence, and supported the team until the last moment, whether it was victory or failure. I am proud that our fans have become role models for everyone and that the moment we celebrate together on the Champs Elysees and the Princes Stadium will always be remembered. But our goal is not just for today's victory or tomorrow's victory, but for long-term development. We are building a solid and lasting future. There are still many things waiting for us to complete. As the song says, “After years of struggle and hard work”, we will continue to work harder every day. With a humble attitude, always united, firmly believe that the team is the real star, loyal to sports values, proudly wear Paris Saint-Germain's jersey, representing France. Thank you for your support throughout the extraordinary season. Let us move towards new victories.
