Official: Atletico Madrid B coach Torres renews contract with the club until June 2027

According to Atletico Madrid's official website, Fernando Torres reached a contract renewal agreement with Atletico Madrid and will continue to coach Atletico Madrid B until June 30, 2027.

The Madrid coach led Atletico Madrid B to a good result in his just-concluded first season. The team finally ranked seventh with 54 points, an improvement over the previous season. At the same time, they fought until the penultimate round to qualify for the upgraded playoffs.

In the 2021/22 season, Torres joined Atletico Madrid's Juvenil A and was promoted to head coach the following season. In these three years, he led the team to win two league titles, one Champions League title and historic reaching the semi-finals of the 2021/22 Youth League. This summer, Torres officially took over as head coach of Atletico Madrid B team. Under his leadership, the team performed well, not only increasing in points, but also maintaining a chance to compete for upgrades throughout the season.
