Official: Girardino will be the head coach of Pisa, signing for 2 years and having one year renewal option
On Thursday local time, Serie A newly promoted Pisa announced that Girardino became the team's new head coach. Pisa officially announced that the club has appointed Alberto Girardino as the first team head coach. The 42-year-old coach signed a two-year contract with a third-year renewal option. In the next few days, the club will announce his coaching staff members and the date he will officially debut to the media. In his previous coaching career, Girardino coached teams in professional leagues of all levels, including Vercelli, Siena and Genoa. During his coaching in Genoa, he led the team to win the Serie B championship and successfully relegated in the following season, staying in Serie A.
