Atletico Madrid new aid Hanzko talked about the offer for himself this summer's victory. He said that he would have to play at Atletico Madrid for 20 years before he could earn so much money in Saudi Arabia.

Atletico Madrid chased Hanzko all summer and finally finalized the transfer in just one and a half days. Hanzko himself said in an interview with TA3 TV that despite the astronomical offer of the Saudi league, he ultimately did not reach an agreement with Riyadh in the victory, and joining Atletico Madrid made him full of joy.

Hanzko said: "Saudi is not our first choice, because I always want to stay in Europe. Although I had contact with other club coaches and directors in the transfer window before, the transfer has never been successful. This summer I only received a quote from them, but the conditions are amazing. We have to discuss it carefully. Before that, Atletico Madrid had transferred negotiations with Feyenoord in the summer of 2024, but failed to achieve it.

Hanzko was not shy about it. He said he was full of expectations for joining Atletico Madrid, but he could have earned far more than the current income when he went to Saudi Arabia.

Hanzko said: "To be honest, that contract is simply... (laughs). If you compare the two contracts, I have to work for 20 years at Atletico Madrid to earn the same amount. Now I have signed a five-year contract with Atletico Madrid, and Riyadh Victory offered a four-year contract at the time."
