According to reporter Ben Jacobs, Mueller is close to reaching an agreement with Vancouver Bailang for visa-free joining.

Muller left Bayern this summer and became a free agent. The American League club Vancouver Bailang intends to sign the German striker without permission. The two sides are close to reaching a comprehensive agreement on personal terms, and only the final details need to be finalized.

Muller will become a DP (designated player) in 2026, not for the rest of 2025. On the other hand, Vancouver White Waves is still negotiating with the Cincinnati FC to obtain Mueller's "right to discover" (priority signing rights).

Cincinnati FC tried to sign Mueller, but they did not have a DP quotation, so the best annual salary quote is no more than $2 million, and the players did not consider joining.
