TA: Bremen is in-depth negotiations with Arsenal on goalkeeper Carl Hein on loan

According to The Athletic, Bremen is in deep negotiations with Arsenal on goalkeeper Carl Hein's loan.

Hein joined Arsenal in 2019 and was loaned to Valladolid in La Liga last season. During this period, he played 31 league games, but only the Gunners have a first-team appearance record, namely the League Cup against Brighton in November 2022.

Hine signed a contract renewal to 2026 in 2024, with a one-year priority renewal clause. Arsenal originally wanted to seek a permanent transfer for Hein and valued it with £3 million to £5 million, but is currently negotiating a loan plan with Bremen.

Bremen will sell Zetel, the main goalkeeper who played all 34 league games last season this summer to Frankfurt, so he is looking for a new No. 1 goalkeeper in the transfer market. In Arsenal, Hein is ranked behind Raya and Kepa, and the team also has England's U19 goal Tommy Thetford.

Levante, who has been newly promoted to La Liga, has also been paying attention to Hein, who has represented the Estonian national team in 39 games.

Bremen, ranked eighth in the Bundesliga last season, will start the 2025-26 season away game against Frankfurt on Saturday.
