TA: Wilz transfer fee paid in installments, Liverpool hopes the deal is not considered a British record
According to multiple media reports, Liverpool agreed to sign Wiltz with a record-breaking transfer price of 116 million pounds. According to The Athletic Red Army reporter James Pearce, the transfer fee will be paid in installments. Liverpool have already opened a good start in the transfer window this summer. They signed Wilz's friend Flynnon for £29.5 million, and Wilz will be the first time Liverpool has invested heavily in top players since signing Allison 65 million in July 2018. Being able to convince Wilz to join fully demonstrate Liverpool's appeal as the Premier League champion and Slot's persuasiveness. In the past 12 months, there have been too many examples that under the guidance of this Dutch coach, the players have been able to go to the next level. Some also believe that the Wiltz deal marks a change in Fenway's strategy, as the club has been criticized for being too stingy in the transfer market. Liverpool executives believe that Wilz is a perfect signing that can add a new dimension to Slott's lineup. A player is a skilled attacker who can create opportunities to score goals in person, be good at finding space, be able to quickly drive the ball and choose the right passing route. Wilz's versatility also allows him to shine on the left, middle, 10th position or pseudo-nine. The player's endurance is also commendable, with him suffering a serious cruciate ligament injury three years ago, but in the past two seasons, Wilz has only missed five league games. Research by Liverpool's head of data, Spearman and his team, combined with reports from scouts, all provide strong support for the investment. Wilz's transfer fee will be paid in installments, while Liverpool hopes that the deal will not be regarded as a British transfer record, because only the potential £16 million additional clause will be realized will break the record, and such a label may put huge pressure on the players.
