Ipsos poll: 70% of French respondents believe that Paris Saint-Germain can win the Club World Cup

Ipsos conducted a poll for The Team in France to investigate how French people feel about Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League championship and how they view the prospects of the team's participation in the Club World Cup.

The survey results show that Paris Saint-Germain may not be so "unliked" in southern France. In this area that has always supported Marseille in history, 25% of respondents expressed "displeasure" about Paris Saint-Germain's Champions League championship (this proportion is the highest in all regions of France), but the "happy" population accounted for a higher proportion, reaching 34%. At the same time, 41% of respondents said "not caring about it." The survey results in the Paris region were that 63% of people were "happy" and 11% were "unhappy"; the survey results in the eastern France were 55% were "happy" and 15% were "unhappy"; in western France, 42% of respondents claimed to be "happy".

Overall, Paris Saint-Germain's 5-0 sweep of Inter Milan in the Champions League final made 43% of the French excited, 18% expressed displeasure, and 39% had an indifferent attitude. Regarding the prospect of Paris Saint-Germain's Club World Cup, 70% of respondents believe that Paris can win the championship, while 30% have doubts about it.
