Marca: Real Madrid intervenes in Negrera case and calls for the inclusion of former Barcelona executive statement as key testimony

According to Le Marca, Real Madrid actively intervened in the Negrera case and asked the court to include statements from several former Barcelona executives as key testimony.

In recent weeks, Real Madrid has been closely monitoring the investigation of the Negrera case, especially in what happened during the administration of former Barcelona presidents Bartomeu and Rossel, and all the trends in court statements and media reports have been under careful scrutiny.

The most obvious example is that the White Legion has applied to the court responsible for the case to immediately include a statement made by former Barcelona senior executives such as Gaspart, Tony Fresa, Albert Palin and Alphons Godard as key testimony.

Former referee Xavi Estrada publicly stated on Sunday night that Real Madrid has requested the statement of the above-mentioned executives to be included in the case materials.

Part of the request is as follows: "Information is now provided about the public statements made by multiple persons about the facts of the case. These persons held senior management positions at Football Club Barcelona when paying funds to Negrera and their business circles, and revealed undoubtedly important details when discussing the matter publicly to confirm the corruption of these payments. Require investigation procedures to ensure the authenticity and content of the evidence, as well as its relationship with the club."

FIFA is also paying close attention to the case, which may lead to sanctions if found to be sporting corruption. UEFA also publicly stated that they let the judicial system take its lead before deciding whether to apply the penalties rules.

In fact, Real Madrid did not stand by and they carefully reviewed every detail of Barcelona's years of payments to Negrera. Madrid quoted Tony Fresa: "When the board of directors discovered this, they thought it would be better to continue doing this just in case."
