TA: Everton made progress in the deal to introduce Aznu, with transfer fees of about 9 million euros

According to The Athletic, Everton made progress in the trade to introduce Bayern defender Adam Aznu.

Everton said that the transfer fee of Aznu in discussion is about 9 million euros. After Ashley Young left this summer, Mikorenko was the only left-back in Everton, and Aznu was seen as a more offensive option at that position.

Aznu joined Bayern youth training camp from Barcelona in 2022 and made his first-team debut for Bayern in November 2024.

Aznu has made four appearances for Bayern, including a substitute in the Club World Cup 10-0 victory over Auckland City in June. Aznu was loaned to Valladolid in the second half of the 2024-25 season, making 13 appearances for the team.

Aznu was once a Spanish youth team international and made his debut in the Moroccan national team in September 2024. He has made 6 appearances for the national team so far.

Moyes strengthened the lineup this summer by signing Tirno Barry and Mark Travers, and also bought out Carlos Alcaras, who came on loan last season. Everton also completed a contract extension with Branswaite and Gayer.

Moyes said on Friday that Everton still needs 9-10 new players this summer. The club is still eager to strengthen the wing and midfield positions.
