Do nothing for six years! Stein: The Pelicans may once again use Zion as the core team

Pelics chose Zion as their lottery draw representative. According to famous reporter Mark Stein, this choice may herald the direction the Pelicans' new management leads the team.

Stein wrote: "The Pelicans explored the possibility of trading Zion for the first time after six frustrating seasons, which had been speculated before, but sources said the draw decision was actually to convey the message that the Pelicans' new management (currently led by Louisiana Joe Dumas) hopes to try to promote the team with Zion as the core."

On April 16 this year, Joe Dumas officially became president of basketball operations for the New Orleans Pelicans.

Zion played 30 games this season, averaging 28.5 minutes per game, contributing 24.6 points, 7.2 rebounds, 5.3 assists, 1.2 breaks and 0.9 blocks.
