Rivers Jr.: O.J. Mayo was so good in high school that people thought he would become the next Kobe Bryant
Recently, former NBA player Rivers Jr. talked about OJ Mayo on the "Eye for the Game" program. Little Rivers said: "OJ Mayo was so strong in high school. People thought he would become the next Kobe. I watched his games when I was growing up. He was one of my favorite players. He never made an All-Star in the NBA, but he was so amazing in high school. There would be 5,000 or 6,000 people watching him play at the age of 17, and he has been ranked very high since he was 13 years old."
