According to famous reporter Shams, sources revealed that Lillard will return to the Trail Blazers for three years and $42 million.

Lillard's contract last year is the player option (2027-28 season). Trail Blazers reporter Sean Highkin said that when the Trail Blazers traded to send Lillard away, they received a first-round pick and two first-round swaps from the Bucks. All three draft picks are after Lillard's contract expires (first round picks from the Bucks in 2029 and first round swaps with the Bucks in 2028).
