Koeman: We wanted to keep all the players in the team, but the club decided to recall Dumfries

Netherlands coach Koeman said that he originally wanted to keep Dumfries in the national team.

In the final round of World Cup qualifying, the Netherlands will face Lithuania at home. The Netherlands currently ranks first in Group G, 3 points ahead of second-place Poland, and has a goal difference of 13 more than Poland. It has basically locked in qualifications for the World Cup. However, Dumfries and Kluivert returned to their respective national teams early due to physical discomfort and did not stay with the Dutch national team to celebrate their promotion to the World Cup.

Netherlands coach Koeman said: "It is now November. You all understand the current situation. The players have had a very intensive schedule in recent weeks, including European games, so there have been many injuries.
