Curry thanks the university coach: You have to have someone who can see your potential

Xiaoba interviewed Curry at the site at Curry's training camp today. During the interview, Curry reviewed his college career.

I have talked to coach McKillip before. He said you knew from the beginning that you would be great. So I want to ask you, you know he knew you would be great before your first Davidson game. So I want to ask, when did you know that you will be excellent? Also, from college to now, what has Coach McKillip affected you?

Curry: I am really grateful that he had this opinion of me when I was recruited, and one of my favorite words he had said was that before I arrived at school, my mom asked him to add a little weight to me. And he said, "No, we want him to be like this," which reflects his trust in me and gives me confidence in going through the ups and downs of my college years and completing the transition. So you have to have the kind of person who can see your potential, you know, plant this belief in your heart for a long time. He is definitely one of the best.

From 2006 to 2009, Curry played at Davidson Academy for three years before being selected by the Warriors in the 2009 draft.
