Previously, the Lakers officially announced that they had signed defender Nick Smith Jr. on a two-way contract, and he also caught up with the team's media day in the new season.

"This is crazy, especially when I walked into the stadium on Media Day, there were already hundreds of people here," Smith said. "Only 20 people on Charlotte Media Day, it is definitely a blessing to come here to learn from the best players."

Nick Smith Jr. is the 27th pick in the first round of 23 years. He played 60 games for the Hornets last season, averaged 22.8 minutes per game, and scored 9.9 points, 2.4 assists and 2.1 rebounds. So far in his NBA career, his three-point shooting percentage has reached 37%.
